Among the most popular outdoor Masses each year is our annual Mass with the Blessing of Animals. This year, the Mass is scheduled for Sunday, October 8 at 5pm. The location will be somewhat different from previous outdoor Masses. We’ll celebrate on the side of the church where both the Mary statue and Community Garden are located. This will make it easier for us to bless and unveil our new mural on that side, which hopefully will be finished by Oct. 8.
Monday, October 23 will be our next St. Sharbel Mass of Healing, at 7pm. The Sacrament of Anointing will be offered at this bilingual Mass.
Our Contemplative Elders meet again on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 7:30pm in the church, to hear a presentation of spiritual value. The group has recently completed a mini-series on spiritually reflecting on our dreams.
All Saints Day and November 1 is not too far around the corner. For All Saints’ Day, we have Masses at 8:30am, 12noon and 7pm. For All Souls Day, we have our regular Mass schedule, but we’re also encouraging participation in a Mass at 9:30am at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway.
The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated by Bishop James F. Checchio on Thursday, Nov. 9 at 7pm.
